Facial Peels

Chemical peels are a great way to refine your skin, achieve an instant glow and jump start any skin care regimen. Peels can give you younger looking skin, reduce acne, acne scarring and controls oil production.

Glycolic Peel  —  45 minutes  —  $100
Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugar cane. It works by penetrating the skin and breaking down the bonds that hold dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. By removing the dead skin cells we revitalize your skin and allow fresh new skin cells to come to the surface over time, this helps open the growth of new skin and also the formultation of collagen.
For maximum results 4-6 sessions.


Salicylic Peel  —  45 minutes  —  $100
Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid that comes from the heart of sweet bark and willow bark trees. It is a peeling agent and anti-inflammitory that is able to dissolve sebum found in the pores and flush it out. It is a more aggressive peel and effects from a salicylic acid peel can last up to 3 days.
Do not use if you are allergic to asprin.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE?
  • If you have superficial wrinkles of the face, neck, and upper chest, arms etc.
  • Uneven pigmentation problems.
  • Enlarged Facial Pores.
  • Superficial acnes scars of the face.
  • "Age Spots."

INTENDED RESULT
  • Smoother, youthful appearing skin of more uniform color.

PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION
  • These procedures are done on an outpatient basis. Light peels do not require anesthesia.
  • After preparing the skin, a glycolic acid concentration from 35% to 50% will be applied.
  • Weekly facial peels for a period of about 6 weeks are typical for most patients.

RECUPERATION AND HEALING
  • Slight tingling can occur.
  • Use of aloe vera gell for 1 - 3 dayys 1 - 2 times daily.
  • After light peels, the treated skin turns red or pink and heals without crusting.
  • Mild peeling can occur.

INSURANCE GUIDELINES
  • This procedure is considered cosmetic and therefore not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.
